Children's Community School was opened in 2001 and is a North Carolina charter school. Our goal is to create an innovative, alternative public school option for the families in our community. Private schools are available in our community, but we believe that more educational alternatives should be available to all children. Children's Community School currently serves children in grades K-6 and we plan to grow one grade level each year through grade 12.

At CCS, we are concerned with the total development of each child. We believe that it is our responsibility to address cognitive, social, emotional and physical development throughout the school day at all grades. This holistic approach to educating our students will help them develop into healthy and well-rounded individuals who enjoy life and learning.

We are quite proud of the environment that we have created for the children at Children's Community School. We are committed to giving the best to our students and strive to improve upon our program continuously.
